    TW Baseball Field

I have been told there was substantial damage done to the TW baseball field during the storms last. Anyone know if any other fields/schools had any damage??

Well I went by there this morning and I couldn't believe it. Had to be a tornado ... the roof off the pressbox/lockerroom has been ripped off and it's scattered in the outfield. The backstop is under a piece of the building that fell. There's no walls on the top story. And one set of bleachers has been flipped upside-down onto the field. The fence is down in the outfield and also where the bleachers went through.

    It is unbelieveable!!!

Yeah, it's a very sad thing. They've spent so much time on that field for the past few years. It's really a shame, TW had one of the best fields in the region, IMO...but hopefully they'll get it fixed up soon.

Yeah, sad to hear. Glad no one was hurt or anything, that was a pretty power line of storms that blew through rhe county.

Probably straight line wind damage. I'm sure we'll find out more after they survey the damage.

I drove by this afternoon and saw the damage. I was pretty devastating. I believe the roof to the press box is what knocked the outfield fence down. The most damage was done to the pressbox.

Did it affect the softball field too after the work they have done to it as well?

Didn't look like it, I know the pressbox and everything is still standing.

    Re: TW Baseball Field

Only thing affected was the baseball field I believe. The wind knocked the bleachers over, and I was told that there was stuff that was inside the pressbox laying on the football field. I was also told the pressbox/lockerroom was a complete loss and will have to be torn down and completely rebuilt.

That is a shame. I know they had put alot into the field since they last held regionals with Lee McDavid working on the playing surface, and amenities around the field.
